Assistant General Manager
Salary range: Negotiable, DOQ
The San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District, located in Redlands, CA, is seeking an Assistant General Manager.
The mission of the District is to ensure that the waters of the Santa Ana River and its tributaries in the San Bernardino Valley are put to beneficial use and conserved in the Bunker Hill Groundwater Basin. The Assistant General Manager, under general direction, will oversee, plan, develop, and manage a variety of complex land and water resources issues; coordinate and oversee the operations and maintenance of District water conservation facilities; and represent the District before local, State, and Federal agencies on land and water resources matters.
As assigned, the Assistant General Manager will exercise direct supervision over field operations and technical staff members; will participate in the development, administration, and monitoring of assigned budgets; allocate limited resources in a cost effective way; and develop, review, and approve land and water resources components of the operating budgets.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, environmental engineering with an emphasis on applicable computer systems and applications, or a related field is preferred, and/or ten years of equivalent and qualifying experience.
A Master’s degree in computer science, business administration, or public administration is desirable.
