Director of Land and Water Resources

The San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District, located in Redlands, CA, is seeking a Director of Land and Water Resources.
The mission of the District is to ensure that the waters of the Santa Ana River and its tributaries in the San Bernardino Valley are put to beneficial use and conserved in the Bunker Hill Groundwater Basin.
The Director of Land and Water Resources, under general direction, plans, develops, and manages a variety of complex land and water resources projects, including: managing and coordinating the design, construction, and contract performance of projects or major project elements ensuring compliance with environmental requirements, established standards, specifications, District policies, and cost and schedule limitations; evaluate and assist in the selection of consultants to provide professional services on major projects; provide administration of all contracts for assigned projects; supervise assigned consultants and staff; and direct technical support activities on a variety of land and water resources projects.
Training equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field is required, plus three years of project management experience in a private firm or public agency, preferably in land or water resource management.
