From the growing collaboration of the Groundwater Council, to the long-awaited launch of the Wash Plan and Plunge Creek Conservation Project — 2020 was a success despite the challenges brought on by COVID-19.

We restored habitat, and outfitted kangaroo rats with backpack monitors as part of a long-term recovery program for the threatened species. Recharge levels were high in spite of the dry year, and public outreach and education kept area residents informed through the use of video and other digital communications tools.
